The PACStacks Storage Archive is a DICOM-compliant, economical grid-based archive appliance that simplifies storing, protecting, and retrieving patient studies. It is based on SENCOR's unique iCAS technology, which is field proven since 1999. The highly scalable PACStacks Archives are available in multiple price/performance configurations. PACStacks Medical Archive appliances can be used as a multi-modality storage archive, a PACS storage repository, or can be combined with the PACStacks Disc Burner and DICOM Router to create a fully HIPAA-compliant PACS system.

The PACStacks Storage Archive is designed to allow clients to simply select the size, feature and function of the solution required to meet their current image storage or distribution needs, while ensuring the long term flexibility to scale in the future.

In order to help you meet HIPAA requirements (such as that two separate copies of patient files must be retained), the PACStacks Archive has a simple option that creates up to two additional separate copies of each file, which can be stored either locally in the archive or migrated and stored in a remote storage device.

Ensures compatibility with the widest range of DICOM modalities, as well as PACS, viewing workstations and film digitizing libraries from a variety of different vendors.

If any data in the primary storage pool becomes corrupt, the self-healing archive automatically detects the corruption and replaces the bad copy with the non-corrupted secondary copy.

Data is protected through a number of key features including multiple image copies, end to end data verification between sending and receiving SENCOR appliance nodes, data encryption as well as hardware RAID.

In a grid of SENCOR storage nodes, multiple copies of data can automatically be propagated throughout the distributed environment. With the failover option enabled, if one storage node fails the software will automatically failover to another node and the data can be queried and retrieved with no user intervention.

The iCAS architecture enlists multiple levels of data integrity checks before and after DICOM data is transferred between any PACStacks appliances, therefore guaranteeing the integrity of any delivered data.
